Creating a non-human NPC in Esoteric Editor

Esoteric Editor allows you to create a non-human NPC along with the human versions of NPC.

To create a non-human NPC in Esoteric please follow the following steps:-

1.)  In the main window of the editor: Move the mouse over “Menu
Options” placed on the left bottom of the screen and click on
             “avatar”.

2.)  Avatar editor opens up. There are two options to create
either a Customizable or Non Customizable Avatar. Click on “New
Non customizable Avatar” option in the Avatar editor window.

3.)  A Panel with non-human NPCs opens up. You can select the
desire NPC by simply left clicking on the NPC item.

4.)  In the drop down menu of Avatar and Settings Panel, there is an
option to select Avatar Settings. The “Avatar Settings” pane has
following settings which can be updated:

Avatar Name: - The name of your avatar. You can also edit the name
         here as well.

Health: - The total health of your avatar. The slider allows
changing the value, typically set to 100.

Stamina: - Move the sliding bar to indicate the value of stamina. It is set to 0 by default and needs to be adjusted as desired.

Store: This sets the extra consumable food items the avatar can carry
once the Base Needs have been full.

Base Needs: - Base Needs represents the amount of maximum food
         value for the avatar.

Coins: - The total no. of coins that the Avatar can carry.

Speed: - The speed bar indicates the speed of the avatar. The slider allows setting the value.

Attack: - The attack bar represents the amount of damage that the avatar causes on attacking. The slider allows to set the value needed.

Jump: - The jump bar indicates the jumping ability, or the height to which an avatar can jump. The slider allows to set the value needed.

Build: - It is an indicator of the avatar’s ability to build. If its value is
10, then an avatar requires 10 strokes to create a building.

Swimming: - This drop down selection lists two options, CAN allows the avatar to swim, and if the selection is CAN’T, then the avatar cannot swim.

Flying: - This drop down selection lists two options, CAN allows the avatar to fly, and if the selection is CAN’T, then the avatar cannot fly.

Dying: - This drop down selection lists two options, CAN allows the avatar to die, and if the selection is CAN’T, then the avatar cannot die.

An avatar name and a positive health value have to be given, in order to make the avatar active. In my example, I will name the avatar "Tigeress" and give it a health value of 50.

5.)  Once you have completely updated the settings of your avatar, click on “Save” at the bottom left of the window.

6.) After clicking on “Save”, you return back to the opening page of your avatar editor, where your created avatar is now displayed.

Please refer to the Tutorial Guide “Creating a NPC in Esoteric Editor and placing them on the map” for the detailed procedure of Placing the non-human NPC on the map.
